Policies
Shipping:
Handling time for orders is 1-5 business days. We only ship on Monday-Wednesday excluding holidays. You are responsible for contacting us to schedule overnight shipping for your live orders, but we will pack them impeccably to ensure they arrive to you safely. Live orders will be shipped on Monday through Wednesday only due to the risk of weekend delays. Animals can only be shipped via Fedex Priority overnight. Feeders must be shipped Fedex priority overnight or 2-day. We have a $50 minimum for all orders shipped via this method. All plants and non-live orders will ship Fedex ground, UPS, or USPS depending upon what is ordered.
DOA's for animals:
You must ship overnight priority, ship to a Fedex Hub, and pick up your order within 2 hours of delivery for this policy. You must send us pictures and a video of the deceased animal(s) via email (amphibioslabs@yahoo.com) within an hour of picking up your package. Do not throw away your animal(s). Please put them in a sealed 32oz-64oz container on wet paper towel to see if they were just undergoing "temperature shock", in which case they will very much appear dead. Often times, when newts appear dead, they will "resurrect" within 24 hours. They are not actually coming back to life, but rather only "seemed dead" before. After 24 hours, take a second video with a time stamp showing the date/ time and after being confirmed to be deceased, dispose of the remains as you see most respectful and fit for the animal. In this case, you will receive a full refund for the animal(s) within 2-3 business days.
DOA's for plants: Any plants "melted" or otherwise dead on arrival will be replaced on your next order. Simply take a picture within 4 hours of delivery and email to us.
DOA's for feeders: Any feeder cultures arriving DOA must have a video taken and emailing to us within 2 hours of receipt. Feeders must be shipped to a Fedex Hub and via 2-day or priority overnight to be eligible. Any feeder cultures arriving DOA will be replaced on your next order.
Cancelations: You may cancel your order within 48 hours of placing it, as long as you have not been notified of label creation/packing, with no penalty. Orders already packed for shipping will be assessed a 20% restocking fee due to wasted employee time, packing materials, and stress to any live items.
Guarantee of health:
All of our animals are captive bred and free of parasites, chytrid, and bone diseases. If your animal passes away within the 3-months, we will replace the animal at just 50% of the original listed price.
